[nb-NO]Description[nb-NO]
This tool came from the workshop of Mr T. Harris of Witheridge Farm in Hailey, Oxfordshire. It was found on a shelf with lathe tools and other wood-turning tools. It has been suggested that it may be a mortising knife, used instead of a chisel to cut mortices, but is not of the traditional shape. The tool has an oval wooden handle and a slightly bent blade with a knife edge and blunt end, and a semi-circular hole.
