[nb-NO]Description[nb-NO]
This wax doll probably dates from 1875. It is dressed in a maroon and white cotton dress with a flannel petticoat and straw bonnet. It belonged to Miss Nina Kitchin of Curbar, Derbyshire. It was dressed in pieces left from her own clothes when she was made a new dress. The donor thinks that it was probably originally bought in Sheffield.
