[nb-NO]Description[nb-NO]
This is a rotary water sprinkler head for watering a lawn or garden. The head would have fitted either on a tripod or on a strake that could be driven into the ground. This type of sprinkler rotated at higher speeds than the multi-arm type and probably needed a water supply with a higher pressure. The donor bought it from a local ironmonger in Bromley and used it in the gardens and grounds at Bickley, Bromley. He believed it dated from circa 1895.
