This photograph shows a water cart at Mapledurham Mill, Oxfordshire. There are two people in the photograph – one filling the barrel on the cart and the other astride the horse. It was possibly taken by Frith circa 1870. The photograph is displayed in a wooden frame with a worn velvet covering.
