This adjustable horse collar was made by the Elastic Horse Collar Co. Ltd., of Birmingham. It is not only adjustable, but can also be completely opened up, placed around the horse's neck, and then easily clipped back together. Similar collars were used by vets when horses' necks had been badly chafed by conventional collars. This collar was used by a family of farmers in the Lake District and then Rutland.
