This saw has a narrow tapered blade and a wooden 'pistol grip' handle. It has a wooden slide to protect the teeth (9 teeth to an inch) which are not set. The inscription mark on the blade is 'H. OSBORN SOUTHAMPTON', with 'H.J. BOWN' on the handle. It was used by a wheelwright in Braishfield, Hampshire, who was the donor's father.
