[nb-NO]Description[nb-NO]
This is a side saddle, a saddle which allowed the rider to side aside the horse, rather than astride. The seat is decorated with a floral pattern. It was purchased at Reading Cattle Market in the 1950s for 2/6d, but the museum holds little other information about its origins, age or manufacture.
