[nb-NO]Description[nb-NO]
This is the oval-shaped lid of a tin churn which held 10 quarts. The lid is made of tin, and three pieces of brass, partly soldered and partly bolted to it. The three pieces are - a large hinge, an oval shaped plate with 'C. H. WHITTOME, NEW MILK, BRUNDON' stamped on it, and a small piece adjoining the rim with '10 quart' stamped on it. The name stamped probably refers to a previous owner of the churn.
