This dibble was used by the donor's family until 1918 at Sackers Green, Suffolk. A dibble is a seeding tool used to manually bore holes in earth ready to plant seeds. This is an ordinary dibble with a solid point. The handle is missing and unlike many dibbles there is no iron strut between the two arms which come up to the handle.
