[nb-NO]Description[nb-NO]
This bag was used by a carpenter in Wiltshire to carry tools. It is made from plaited palm, from a continuous strip of plait going round and round, each round plaiting into the edge of the last one and over a cord, which is hidden. It is lined with sacking and bound and given handles of chain webbing. The basket itself is imported, probably from the Middle East. It was last used in 1928.
