[nb-NO]Description[nb-NO]
A bi-fold folder, made of thick card, coloured burgundy on the outside, cream inside, with an orange border around the front edge of the folder. On the inner front portion of the folder is a plastic sleeve attached to the top and sides of the folder, allowing papers to be inserted from the folder's centre fold. Two treasury tags are attached to the top-centre portion of the front and back, acting as handles. The front of the folder is stamped with 'MILK MARKETING BOARD // PRIVATE MILK RECORDS'. This folder was used by the donors' father, W.P. Isherwood, a vet practising in East Yorkshire in the early to mid-twentieth century. His stamp can be found on the inside back fportion of the folder. Mr Isherwood used this folder whilst carrying out Ministry of Agriculture routine inspections on local farms, testing cattle for TB and later when undertaking Swine Fever inspections. It is unknown how he came to obtain this 'Milk Marketing Board' folder.
