This ox yoke came from Corsham in Wiltshire. It forms part of the gear worn by draught animals to connect them when drawing a vehicle. This yoke is made of wood, stained dark brown, and still has its fixing pin and chains. There are two heavy hooks and a ring in the centre.

MERL 'Handwritten accession' form (Institute of Agricultural History) – ‘Description: This ox-yoke is stained dark brown/black. It is in reasonable condition and the head collars have been repaired. The fixing pin plus chains are still in place.
