This is a double barrelled sporting gun. It has a double flintlock which are both inlaid with gold (the left-hand striker is broken). It is muzzle loading and has a horn-tipped ram rod. It has a silver plaque and an engraved metal cap to the stock. The gun carries the mark 'Wilkin Grantham'. There was a gunmaker called Wilkin in Grantham from 1910 to 1926.
