This is the milk claw from an Alfa-Laval Company Ltd. bucket type milking machine. It is made of brass and rubber. The claw connects the short milk and pulse tubes to the long milk and pulse tubes of the milking machine. This claw, along with other parts from the Alfa-Laval bucket milker, belonged to the donor’s father-in-law, a part time farmer in Buxton, Derbyshire, 1950–1990.
