This is a hard back edition of 'Folly Farm', written by C. E. M. Joad and published posthumously in 1954 by Faber and Faber. The book has a foreword by John Betjeman and Frederic Hood. Joad was a philosopher, writer and broadcaster, and fought to preserve the English countryside against industrialisation and destructive tourism. This object was deaccessioned and reaccessioned into the University of Reading Library. Please note that this object no longer forms part of the Museum of English Rural Life collection and cannot be accessed at our institution.
