This is an original cartoon design by Michael O'Connell, which was used to create one of a set of wall hangings which were displayed in the Country Pavilion of the 1951 Festival of Britain. This cartoon depicts Rutland, and shows a small village in the centre, surrounded by fields and country lanes.
