This trunk has a foundation of willow basketwork, and is covered with black (japanned/lacquered) canvas. It has leather fittings, an interior tray, and a domed lid. One handle is missing. It was probably used to carry personal clothing. There is a label tied to the trunk which bears the name 'MR. H. HENDERSON'.
