This is a khaki drill overall issued by the Women's Land Army to the donor in 1943. The label inside reads, 'OVERALLS // COATS DRILL // WOMENS LAND ARMY // SIZE SMALL // BUST 32"-34" // CONTRACT NO // 252/16/723 // J. Harvey Ltd // London, 1943'. The overall was used by the donor as part of her uniform in the W.L.A. during the Second World War and then subsequently for gardening and odd jobs until she donated it to MERL in 1983.
