A shoeing rasp, used by a farrier to finish off the hoof during shoeing. This rasp was used in the late 1920s by Mr Catt at Catts Forge in Sidley, East Sussex. It was subsequently used by the donor on woodwork for rasping off handles for brickmaking. The rasp has fine teeth on one side and course teeth on the other, and is stamped 'KEARNEY & FOOT // K & F // MADE IN U.S.A.'
