This is the 'Speedy' Moisture Tester, manufactured by Thomas Ashworth & Co. Ltd. of Burnley, Lancashire, in the 1920s. The equipment is all contained in a box and consists of a set of scales with a pan, ladle, can of calcium carbide and a testing. This was used by a farmer in Warlingham, Surrey to test grains and grass seeds.
