A swage is a tool used to shape metal. This bottom swage is oblong in shape, has a groove running paralell to the longest dimension, and an off-centre shank. It was used for rounding iron. It was used and donated by Nalder & Nalder Ltd., agricultural manufacturers of Wantage, Oxfordshire.
