This basketwork duck nest was made in 1971 by Stanley Bird Basketware of Great Yarmouth for the Nature Conservancy, although it was never used. It is made of heavy cane and has a circular neck which narrows and then widens again to form a cylindrical hollow body and then ends with a stick of bound cane.
