This is a sampler attached to a thin wooden panel, which has a newpaper advert attached from 1851. It consists of cross stitch, wool embroidery in pink, green, cream, yellow, grey, orange, brown and fawn. The sampler was made by the donor's wife's grandmother in Lancashire.
