These 82 bobbins are made of wood and have one long neck and are simply ornamented with turning. Only one or two of them have spangles (glass beads or ornaments attached to the bottom of the bobbin to provide additional weight) as weighted bobbins require a short neck as well as a long one. They belonged to a lacemaker from Ickford, Buckinghamshire.
