[nb-NO]Description[nb-NO]
Turnip pecks were used for lifting turnips and other root crops when feeding livestock. This turnip peck consists of a metal spike fixed to a wooden handle. The handle is very worn below the spike, suggesting that the turnips were perhaps knocked off by banging the handle against the edge of a wheelbarrow or similar object.
