  • John Medhurst worked at the Greater London Council and as a lecturer at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew before forming his practice, John Medhurst - Landscape Consultant. He is a chartered Landscape Architect with additional qualifications in horticulture and garden and landscape conservation. His experience covers both public and private schemes and his work has been recognised by several awards including those for his contribution on the IMAX Cinema (see AR MED A/25 and AR MED D/6) and Kingston University's Kingston Hill Campus (see AR MED A/23 and AR MED D/5). One of John Medhurst's long-standing interests has been in photographing trees and recording their values and characteristics. He has created an online catalogue, called Trees in London - an Online Resource, illustrating the variety of trees.
