Turnip pecks were used for pulling up what was left of turnips after sheep had been fed on them. This peck is made of iron and has two tines. The wooden handle is now missing, but the nail for securing the handle remains. It is not known where this turnip peck was made or used.

MERL 'Catalogue index' card – 'Nothing is known of the origin of this turnip peck. It is made of iron and is 8 1/2 inches long. The tines are 4 inches long and are set 2 inches apart. The wooden handle is missing but the nail for securing the handle remains. // see also 51/233M'
