Description // This wagon, which was built in 1838, was used at Hailey, near Witney in Oxfordshire. It was built for the donor's grandfather, Giles Harris, by the Charlbury wheelwright, Kench. The timber was found on Mr. Harris' farm, and the craftsman made it on the farm itself, rather than in the village workshop. The wagon was used every year until 1951 and is in a perfect state of preservation // Body construction: Spindled (wooded) // Body colours: Yellow, Red line decorations // Sideboard Type: Spindles (wooden) // Side construction: Waisted // Axle: Wooden Bed.
