Descrizione
This 140-piece wooden puzzle is entitled 'A Father's Advice' and was made by The Wentworth Wooden Jigsaw Company in Pinkney, Wiltshire, for the Countryside Alliance in 2006. Wentworth produced just a single batch of 36 puzzles using this image. The puzzle was purchased from eBay seller Robert Fensome from Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, by MERL as part of the Collecting Cultures project. The box contains 137 of the 140 pieces. The Countryside Alliance was formed in 1997 from three organisations: the British Field Sports Society, and the Countryside Business Group and the Countryside Movement, both of which were formed with help from the British Field Sports Society. The Countryside Alliance promotes issues relating to the countryside such as food, farming and country sports. To date the focus of its campaigning has been to defend hunting.

Email, Wentworth Wooden Jigsaws Company to MERL, 21 June 2013 - 'I searched our archives for this title and found it. We produced it for the Countryside Alliance in 2006. They would have commissioned it as a 'bespoke' puzzle - ie. we could only sell it to them and not to the general public. Our records show that they only had the one batch of 36 puzzles of this image. I'm afraid I can't find details beyond that it was made for the Countryside Alliance.'
