The Sharp Collection of agricultural and dairying equipment was compiled by Reverend C. J. Sharp at Wonersh, Surrey. Reverend Sharp died in 1967 and the Museum acquired the Collection for £60 in 1968., MERL ‘History Artefacts’ cards - ‘WORKING TABLE // PROCESSING Milk Butter // Source Rev Sharp // Notes: Description: An attractively designed working table made of wood. The four legs are shaped and shape outwards. They are tied by 4 bars and fit into two wooden bars at each end on top of which the table is fixed. One end of the table is higher than the other. The table slopes from the highest end towards the end which has a bung hole in the corner. The bung is present. Use: for working butter by hand or with pats.’
