Description
These are hand powered clippers and a clipping head with hand grip. The head has no inscription. They were used by farmers for clipping hair of horses, cattle, donkeys and mules. They are made of metal and they have a wooden hand to handle. Also there is an inscription on them: 'THE STEWART BALL BEARING No. 1 CLIPPER// THE COOPER STEWART ENGINEERING CO. LTD.// 136 LONG ACRE// LONDON W.C.' The clippers were made in England.

MERL miscellaneous note – Georgia Charitou- 15 October 2014- The clippers were manufactured by Cooper-Stewart Engineering Co. Ltd. and were patented in Great Britain and United States of America. This clipping machine was given to Mr. Standage for possible use. The blades from the clipping head were made by Chicago Flexible Shaft Co., Chicago, USA.
