Description
This billhook has a curved blade and is of the type used for splitting poles and thatching spars. The blade is marked with the number '10'. The wooden handle is bound with black tape. The billhook was made circa 1910 by Gilpin of Wedges Mill in Cannock, Staffordshire, for W. C. Till Ltd., a large ironmongers in Battle, East Sussex.
