Description
This is a plaque that is made of grey lead consisting of roughly oval top part with narrow rectangular base. This plaque has three holes for fixing and it was to Mr Bulpitt, Drove Farm, Vernham Dean in Hampshire. This plaque was issued by the Royal Exchange Assurance Corporation, which was founded in 1720. The Association was a general insurance company and merged with the Guardian Assurance Company in 1968. This plaque shows the Second Royal Exchange building, with an open crown above and the policy number 179446 impressed and painted black on the panel below.
