This fleshing knife is a two-handed leather making tool, used for removing the remains of flesh and fat from animal skins. It is inscribed 'Geo. Barnsley & Sons // A // Sheffield' and an image resembling a shoe, in the middle of the blade, which refers to the manufacturers.
