Description
This is a grinding and crushing mill made of iron, steel and blue painted wood. This type was powered by horse gear, for crushing oats, beans and peas to make them more digestible for animal consumption. This mill was manufactured by E. H. Bentall & Co. Ltd. of Heybridge, Essex. It was probably purchased by Reading University in 1925 and used as a demonstration machine.
