Huntsman and Sons of Saville Row, London, sometime between 1930 and 1938. This tailoring firm catered for land owners rather than working countrymen. It dressed eminent gentleman-farmers such as Winston Churchill. The brown corduroy breeches were made by Caldene Clothing, an equestrian outfitter founded in 1922. Although tailor-made they offered a cheaper alternative to top end firms. The leather breeches belonged to Mr Worthington, whose family farmed near Wimborne, Dorset, from the late 1930s until 1962.MERL 70/176, MERL 77/287, MERL 2002/2</SPAN></SPAN></P></DIV>
