Description
This is a scythe cradle, which is a harvesting tool used, when attached to handle of scythe, for catching cut crop and leaving it heaped in line on one side. This came to the museum as part of the Sharp collection.

The Sharp Collection of agricultural and dairying equipment was compiled by Reverend C. J. Sharp at Wonersh, Surrey.
