Description
A commemorative ceramic beaker marking Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee in 1897. It is decorated with a coloured portrait of Queen Vicotira and an inscription in gold, on a white background. It was made by Doulton of Burslem, Staffordshire. The beaker also bears the inscription 'presented by Lady Iveagh', and was given to the donor's father, who lived on the Iveagh Estate village at Eriswell in Suffolk.

Made by Doulton, Burslem, in 1897. Pottery & in project condition. It is 3.6" deep; 3.3” diameter at top. (Inside measurements) Inscribed with ‘… presented by Lady Iveagh’. The beaker was given to [donor's] father who lived in the Iveagh Estate village at Eriswell ... Here he learnt his trade from the villiage tailor.’
