Description
This potato basket or skep, a type used when planting potatoes, was given to the Museum by the Rural Industries Bureau. It was made by D. T. Davies of the Welsh Folk Museum in Saint Fagans in 1950. It is a round basket, with a hazel frame, ash spelks and weaving of white willow, and with a space on either side of the rim to form two handles.
