Description
This is an interchangeable handle for an auger, a boring tool used in a variety of woodworking trades. The central portion is made of steel, with two wing nuts to tighten the handle, and the ends are made of ash. The handle belonged to Mr W. W. Field, a wheelwright in Winson, Gloucestershire. Mr Field retired circa 1960 and the business closed.
