Description
This lead hearth ornament, which may instead be a door stop, was found in the donor's house when he moved there. It is shaped like a Ram. It is thought to date from c.1850/1900, and is very similar to another one seen locally which was used as a door stop.

An exactly similar one is used as a door stop in a local farmhouse. // Any other information // I am not at all sure if this is the type of thing you want but thought it as well to offer it.'
