Josiah Ball (Maker)

This is a blacksmith's or manufacturer's model plough, used for construction purposes. It shows the mouldboard and part of the beam. It was made by Josiah Ball, a blacksmith in North Kilworth, and is thought to date from before 1876.

It was made by Josiah Ball, son of Thomas Ball, blacksmith of North Kilworth, at least before 1876, and belongs to the Misses Ball... Leicester.'
