Description
This candle snuffer consists of a rectangular box fitted to a blade; a flat piece of metal is fitted to the second blade which was used to push the wick into the box. The first blade terminates in a spike which was used for uncurling the wick. The handle bows are decorated with a shell design. The snuffer was originally supported on three feet, but only two now remain. They belonged to the donor's father, in Braishfield.
