- DescriptionThis is a common tyring plane, with the blade at an angle of 45°, the angle appropriate for planing soft woods. It was used by the donor's father, who was a wheelwright and carpenter in Braishfield, Hampshire. It is stamped 'H.J.BOWN' at both ends.
