Horses,

An oil painting by A. Hubert, entitled 'Horses'. The image depicts a farmer riding a heavy horse side-saddle, feet over the left side of the horse, with a whip held in his left hand and raised above his head. The farmer is wearing a blue top, dark brown trousers, and a brown cap. The image features two horses, with the farmer riding that to the left of the frame. Both horses are brown in colour, both wearing brown saddlery, and both have red adornments attached to their bridles, with those on that of the right horse most visible. On this right-hand horse, these red adornments are shown on the nose and the left side of the bridle. The scenery shows a barren-looking field, with hazy grey/blue scenery in the background.
