Description
This ‘smoothing’ or ‘rounding’ chisel is for use with a lathe to round off beads or edges. It has a sloped, half chisel head, sharpened on both sides, the stem of which is concealed by a piece of string twisted around it. It belonged to a Chilterns chair bodger from Turville Heath in Buckinghamshire.
