Description
This mill bill bit came from a forge at Lower Beeding, which was destroyed in 1925. It is a pcik mill bill, with much sharper ends than the normal bit, the flat mill bill. This is used for dressing Derbyshire stones which need re-dressing much more frequently than the French burr stones, much harder stones. It tapers at each to a very sharp point.
