Description
This is a portable ink well, made of metal with a wooden surround. It was invented by Arthur Palmer, the great-grandfather of the donor's husband, in 1861. Arthur Palmer was an inventor for Ransomes, Sims and Jeffries Ltd., of Ipswich.
