A thermometer with a metal top and face in a wooden casing. It is marked from 56° to 119° Fahrenheit, and is also marked in weeks with 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th. Its purpose is not known, but it is thought that it may have been used in the kitchen or the dairy, and may have been associated with cheese making or incubating eggs.
