Description
A tinned steel bucket which is wider at the top than the bottom but has a small aperture towards one side. The rim at the base acts as a stand. There is a fixed carrying handle at the top for carrying and another near the base used for tipping the bucket for emptying it. The bucket was used for milking, the design of the top helps to prevent dirt falling into the milk. This item was used at Hertfordshire College of Agriculture and Horticulture, St. Albans.
